    I will say MK games (9,X) didn't do a good job on deterring people from jumping beyond D2.

    Its as if people who played MKX a lot forgot that a good ground game can be super important for a player in a 2D fighting game. If everything is slower, then you can be punished more often obviously because your opponent is able to react to your actions much easier now.
    Looks like the player base maybe split. I see a good handful of competitive players on PC since the lobby glitch, but also good names on PS4. If i had to choose between the two, i’d choose pc.

    I haven't had too many issues with people simply underperforming on their machine itself. Unless they were AMD, which is currently having optimization problems with the game. That's on team ninja's end to fix.

    On AMD here, it's been smooth sailing for me.
    So many characters can play the meta in DOA6, but I think the best are the grapplers, phase-4, diego, hitomi, and Nyo. Still experimenting with characters. I don't think there is anyone that is necessarily bad in the game however, maybe more difficult matchup's but not to the point where you need to play someone else.

    Lately I've just been spamming FS every time I get a CH on someone just in hopes I can get them to burn that annoying BH mechanic and so I can have easier access to launches since her normal stuns are so damn short.

    With Hitomi? lol That thing doesn't exactly have a lot of range.
    DOA6 is so much more fun when it's played offline
    Now that i'm adapting more to SS attacks, kind of looks like everyone is just hanging themselves =/

    I was already used to it by the end of the first beta. I'm doing basic shit like pk (which will counter hit people who just SS and not follow up the attack) and other tracking moves along with throwing out fatal rush to catch people who spam it. I still think its too strong. I was mirroring Rikuto with Hitomi and I straight up avoided the kick on 4ppk which is 100% a tracking move.
    One character I took a strange liking to in the beta was Diego.. think it was after his shirt exploded off -shrugs-. No seriously lol, he has some strong fundamentals; one of the most honest characters I've seen. Really has to work for his deep stuns though

    They can tech this however, and in most cases you'll be around -8 and above depending on the character you use and which move you use to pursue the GH, so for some character's it's a problem and for others it's not, all depends on the character and the set up

    They have to do something about the wakeup system. I find myself backing away after every combo because I have to guess after a knock down. Theres no way to maintain momentum.

    yea try to weigh your options. In DOA6 I think whiff punishing or crushing is what we gotta do for now.

    I hate to say it, but as of now, forced techs should return since you can do Wake-up Break Blow/Wake-up Break Hold if you wanted to relieve pressure after a knockdown, and of course you would have a reason to tech roll.
    Played a few hours of the beta on xbl. Netcode has improved, but still avoiding all wifi players. There were no lobbies even though TN said there would be. Hopefully, we get them tomorrow. Game feels GREAT. Love the neutral play.
    you guys know what to do this weekend. Get in them character threads and discord character groups and WERK!!
    Tina's 1p no longer causes a deep stun on CH and has some push back.

    If I'm not mistaken, most 1P's don't stun on CH now. Ayane's 1P didn't stun on CH either (however I think I heard from MASTER, that "1PP's" or "1P2K's" may be natural counterhit (NCH) combos now). But yeah, that would kind of screw over characters like Tina, Hitomi, or Honoka for instance, whom has single hit 1P's.

    I mean, would like to also add that those lows are particularly dangerous on water/slippery surfaces (stage specific I know), least for that (hopefully, would also suck if it didn't cause slip stuns).

    Honestly, I've always seen 1P from those characters hit on NH including Ein a lot more often than CH which puts the attacker at disadvantage even if you were safe in the long run, but I guess it's a big thing.

    I'm honestly kind of happy with not having lows that deep stun. I wonder if Helena will get the same treatment. Stun game is what she's known for
