He looks more Like Brad than Goh to me, and I don't seem to be the only one to be reminded of Miguel and Brad when looking at him and his moves.

I think it’s quite too early to say he lacks originality and personality in his fighting style when we only saw a trailer and gameplay where the player only used like 5 moves.
In terms of design almost nothing is original these days, everything has been done before. Diego is quite original compared to the DOA cast and will serve as a great replacement of Leon.
