Too bad it never helped us not lag. Even when I had the best net in the area doa still lagged. Doesn't matter how big or little the lag is bad. Changes the game.

I doubt the game is transmitting more data than that per second. In theory, with a superb connection, lag would be unnoticeable or neglect-able (such as the time required to process pressing a button on your controller to the time it reaches the machine and display, etc.)
I doubt you've played DOA with a DL rate of nearly 70mb/s. If you did somehow, you also have to factor in the connection of your opponent.

Long story short, online lag can theoretically be compensated for with a good connection, but in practicality, you won't really be able to.
