I think it's a comparative thing. I think she's easier to use than someone like Akira, but much more difficult than Tina. Just depends what the person is used to and that reference scale.
I think she requires alot of excecution skill. particularly if you wanna deal max damage. the timing of her force techs is also tricky. but I am enjoying playing her. as for akira, hes really not that hard if you're a stick user (I also used him in VF so just frame knees all day .. lol). Funny u mention Tina, shes next on my list after kasumi.
excecution wise, yeah her inputs are quite easy, same with bass, and hitomi i suppose .. those characters dont have much to worry about when it comes to stances etc. master a character is a different story tho
Yeah, but her max juggles are very straightforward and really Tina's game is about throw punishment/baiting and ground pressure. She has tools that make those quite intuitive compared to the focus of other characters, imo.
For the record Tina does have a stance specific limbo stun. She also has stance specific force tech combos. Easy and straightforward yes, easy to win with not so much. She also has other really cool shit about her. Heres hoping I can pull it off NCR but I seem to be the master of choking.
You really think she's easy overall?? I agree with easy inputs and the preset combos. But easy to win with also? If thats the case then there would be more Tinas at tournaments.
Tina relies on the basic fundamentals of the game to win. If you're good at the core of what DOA is, Tina will work for you. Tournament players often like gimmicky characters because they circumvent the normal game mechanics, and thus give them an edge against other top-level players (such is the case with Helena, for example).
at the end of the day no character is EASY through and through. I can see where hes coming from tho. granted she has the (closed/open) stance issue with her KP limbo and its variations but she does play relatively straight forward in every other execution aspect. But mastering her to win ? thats a different story altogether.
