Saw the games, SFV was one of the better games at EVO this year, Capcom Cup finals will probably be interesting too. Isn't Cammy like the best character in this season? Think quite a few people play her.
Indeed, right now this mindset, or any type of mindset to begin with is only present in SFV. Ah well, maybe in Season 4 things will change, although, to be honest, I'd like Capcom to move on and announce SF6 in like a year and make the game good instead of giving us mediocre fighting games for the past decade. MvC:I, SFV and SFxT have all been somewhat of a disaster in the first couple of months.
I've messed around with her in 4. She was ok, got a bit better when Ultra SF4 dropped, almost hit like a truck, not too much of a tournament viable character though. She could get some crazy stuff for her V-Trigger if there will be a season 4 for SF5 and if she'll make it as dlc.
The reason she wasn't really too good is because she didn't really have invincible wake-up options, walk speed was very slow, probably the slowest and execution was quite required to maximize the damage that you can get off of a hit.
Didn't her Dash Resolve Faster ? I've heard people complain about being surprise command thrown because of her dash speed and range.
And yeah I'm familiar with what a pain in the ass her Combos were... Jump Cancelling into Tiger Knee Axe Kick is something thats going to remain difficult even in SFV if they add her.
True, her dash was the best in the game, or at least the fastest but its probably reactable offline via a neutral jump, which will lead to a full punish. She required a lot of work with in order to win games compared to characters like Elena or Evil Ryu. Character variety was probably huge by the end of the game's life because it technically was a 7 year old game and every character was viable one way or another.
The same way AiAi was fun to watch, the only Juri main to make top 8 at EVO about whom Daigo himself said that he should be feared. There are a lot of players who just up and vanished afterwards like Pepeday now that I think about it.
However for the guys that stuck around... they don't seem to be doing so well... I mean Infiltration was on the rise but things happened and now nobody knows whats going on with him.
Hopefully the input delay patch will work out in Momochi's favour.
Probably not since Ken is still low low-mid tier iirc. There is a good reason why Itazan doesn't really play Zangief anymore. Why play something that can barely get in and do any damage when you can play Abigail? About the players like AiAi and Pepeday, I'm sure that they are still playing SF, I do see online matches, well, replays to be specific of AiAi playing SFV.
Gief always sucked. The two people that were playing with him were SnakeEyez, who switched to Akuma after a while and Itazan, who was stubborn, playing with Gief for a while, until they added an even bigger character who is probably one of the best characters in the game right now. Yeah, thought so, barely any people main Ken outside of the loyalists, who don't make it too far in tournaments.
Standing Medium Kick
Crouching Medium Kick
Standing Hard Punch
Standind Hard Kick
And Back Medium Punch
These are all legit single hit confirms. And not having the reaction time to visually confirm off those hits severely limits how effective you can be with Ken.
In my case I can Hit Confirm off all those normal except for Crouching Medium Kick and Standing Hard Punch. These are two very important buttons for Ken.
