It also doesn't help that the SCVI is not taken as seriously by Japanese/Eastern players compared to Tekken or SF. I'm particularly interested to see how Tekken competitive community would be like if no Korean or Japanese players played for instance.

Its not like Okubo flat out told people that SCVI might be the last game if sales are bad(which might've been a trick to make people buy the game, but I'll give him the benefit of doubt). SC is not as huge as T7 or SCV, at least competitively and I don't know how he doesn't know that. Unless if he's one of those players that is mad because of the "beginner friendly" elements of the game, which would still be dumb.
