It's not the players. The character is designed to play the spacing game. She is a footsie-oriented character that has tools to control space and punish whiffs. Any Ayane who doesn't "turtle," and instead tries to force the rushdown tactic is playing the character wrong and will suffer in high level play.

Good Ayane players can hold their own in close quarters, but that is definitely not where they want to be. Ayane is considered top tier in this game because she dominates the range game with her tools and has crushes and mixups up close that opponents must respect.

It's ok. I felt salty after losing to Ayane players on ranked. But either way, I don't care because I'm only doing it for the last costume I'm trying to unlock
