Both sides took a hit yeah, but the situation was a lot better and funnier when Wiz tried to do damage control only to make himself look silly while doing it.
Imagine calling one security guard but he forgot his shoes at home so he's wearing EVO slippers that slip on clean floor after every turn chase and never managed to get the job done lol.
It's funny because the biggest blowback towards what Team Ninja/Koei Tecmo did... is from the DOA fans. Everyone else is primarily all over Wizard's ass
It's like hiring Wiz to be security guard to chase a dude roaming around the halls naked, but every time Joey made a sharp turn in a corner, he'd slip.
Oh, upon reflection, this was arguably a brilliant troll by Team Ninja: They generated more interest in DOA6, they made Mr. Wiz & Evo co. look like hypocritical jackasses, they showed that they're not afraid to "self parody" themselves for fun and gave no fucks, and indirectly got people to mock EVO.
So if DOA6 doesn't make it to the main EVO '19 stage, but something like MK11 does, the FGC/gaming community can act like EVO is too scared to feature DOA6 because of their #CoreValues.
@Force_of_Nature "Both" sides took a loss. Wiz is the most obvious and meme worthy, but DOA is no saint here.
For starters, that tweet would of never happened in the first place if TN never did that which Brute pointed it out. Wiz is just arguably terrible at this.
Don't matter, DOA6 wasn't really doing the greatest interest wise and this stunt generated interest. One of the most viewed segments at J-EVO. However, game supporters will have to be more bold with their promotion of the game. Despite this debacle, I will still support DOA6's gameplay side. If people mock it, whatever, they weren't really into DOA anyway.
Stunt generated interest in both a good way and bad way? because it's "both".
But people can be into DOA and still mock it. No excuses and no justification. Both sides took the L and they must accept it, don't give a shit who they are because they will be difficult to take serious.
It's DOA, embrace it for what it is dude. If you show any shame at all, you will make other people uncomfortable. I.e. Play along with it! Team Ninja showed no fear doing that crazy shit and the viewers enjoyed it.
