With how oversaturated the market is console and game-wise, I'd actually be legit surprised if a lot of people would be playing on Vita these days. People would rather take their Switch with them than their Vita in my opinion.

It's all good. The Vita had a decent run all things together (hell in 2018, and I think 2019, it's still technically getting games released on it). Wish Sony didn't cease 1st party support for it after 2013. It's a freakin' beast of a handheld that has held up beautifully. 2019, and I still play my PSVITA.

If I'm not mistaken, support for the PS3 will be getting ceased too. It sounds bad on paper, especially for people into online-only games like Warhawk which become unplayable, but it's reasonable for Sony to focus more on the future and like the Vita to an extent, the PS3 has had a great run.

@Force_of_Nature Yeah, its sad but from what I've seen regarding PS5 news, people/sites believe that it'll be backwards compatible, either with ps4 games only or with all the ps games from the first to the current gen console, the ps4. I really hope that the latter will be announced once believable info about ps5 comes to the surface.
