Basically they are the absolute worst type of nonsense with unfair AI and crappy challenges just so that either people grind for consumables just for the CHANCE to even the fight or buy the stuff in chunks or skip fights with real currency.
You need certain rare items to beat the scaled up AI. You can do the super long grind or pay with real money to get them. Game is being treated as a typical games as a service crap that publishers like WB, EA, Activision etc.... are pushing.
*Thinks of Old arcade fgs and SNK boss syndrome* Sorry. I don't get it. No comment. Outside of microtransactions of such nature in a FG. I bet half those people can't beat SNK bosses on hard either. We didn't cry about single player content back then but I forget people think $60 warrants a participation trophy. Just play online for all that nonsense. They didn't make SFV survival mode any easier yet.
Old arcade games didn't have an rpg item system that literally made it impossible to beat said boss without said rare item. This isn't a skill thing, this is literally down to you need these items to be able to beat these enemies. Its tuned that way intentionally.
So, it's not reading your inputs at exact moments to input a reversal on the first frame? Teching every throw? Guile doing Flash kick, no charge? ST Akuma? Is it worse than Shin Akuma Gasp No one has been able to beat it without work arounds? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Has anyone credible tried to take this on and failed as well?
Ok....think of it this way. Its like a level 30 player in an RPG trying to take on a level 99 hidden boss. Its simply not doable. The items in the game impact your damage, attack speed etc...The augments also impact abilities like allowing Skarlet to siphon more blood from her skills for example.
