  • Are curved monitors okay for fighting games? I ask because I wonder if it'd be weird looking at Health Bars and/or Super Meters.

Curved monitors are fine. Makes it easier to focus on any particular part of the screen compared to a straight monitor where your eyes need to "reach". Really handy with 32" monitors.
It'd suck if CDPR removed the crafting exploit that allows you to disassemble soda cans into crafting components that you can then sell for a lot of EDs. Won't be as boring when the dupe glitch in Prey was removed but leave SP cheats alone lol Makes this way funner
Is it hard to watch or play a game without the outside influence or opinions of others? Are there any true and raw opinions that are earnest, from the viewer? To which we can gather truly unique viewpoints instead of repeated memes and fluff? You're seen as the bad guy for trying to be unique in that regard nowadays

He doesn't play fighting games and applies it to everything in life

Based on personal experience of giving my honest opinion, most of the time I'm better off keeping it to myself and/or a select few that I know I'm cool with on a personal level.

I'm aware, and stand by my point.
If he is seeking a raw opinion unfettered by appeals to popular/communal sensibilities, he's going to be getting a lot of that. If people are truly being honest, most are not really going to give a shit what he thinks about anything. The few who do are going to be close enough that they feel comfortable offering their genuine opinions regardless.
I think early female fighting game characters were mostly tokenistic in nature.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by that? I think I know (and agree with lol) what you’re trying to say

Yeah, like Chun-Li for example or Cammy don't use anything remotely similar to their fighting styles. Just has moves to show off legs and thighs. Ivy is just a Dominatrix, while this one has a more fleshed out story, can't help but think the girls there for the hornies. Trust me, I like sexy stuff and I'm not SJW at all but this is why I like SNK gals because they are more lived-in to me.

For SNK, May Lee is a super hero type and is quirky, I like fun. For SF, Makoto was cool because she was a daughter of the strongest fighter in her lands and wants to continue his legacy and dojo. She might be a little hotheaded but it's to protect her integrity and she's always been a good motivator for me there. Vanessa is a mom (MILF)and is badass.
Remember when you could main a character and they felt like they belonged to you? Since everyone plays outta hype, that's gone. Now, you have to use a char for the fact they function properly, not because you like them. Now, highest-execution, or meme chars like grapplers or low tiers (Not even fun low tier) are all you have.

@Awesmic Of course. This coming from someone who used Makoto in SSF4 when she was considered low tier, to when Everyone played her in the AE update due to a buff and then left anyway

You see a char being played that you never saw b4 bc games are made slightly easier. It's seems fake to me. The SFV popularity poll showed Makoto at #2 when I damn sure didn't see her, only 2 times my whole life time and one of those was a guy picking her to try and say something and he still lost, badly.

People play chars on trends now, I noticed.
For those not on Twitter atm, @EmeryReigns has just tested positive for COVID-19. God be with him and his family.
When will MS stop charging for live on 360? Would feel pretty dumb to have that 20 yrs down the line.

When they cancel it like they did to the OG Xbox's online in 2010.
Seeing the UltraDavid RoboCop zoning vid that got that kid to freak out remindes me why I became more of a 3D player. Yes, I've dealt with silly zoning in SF4 (Mako v Sagat) and succeeded plenty. Even from old school heads but ultimately, I've grown tired of the play style unless I know zoning is strong. Anime FGs I'm becoming OK with now BC of options.

MK is game where most characters have at least 1 way to deal with projectile spam, so there's really no reason for anyone to get that mad at zoning, although that kid sounded like he was 12 so I wont fault him for not knowing how to deal with projectiles

I was zoning niggas out in Inj 2 games. I'm not saying NRS doesn't options but the way the responsiveness of the general movement (or lack thereof) is, I can see why it's stronger but it's mostly due to NRS demographics not dealing with old school FGs, so, no experience w/ zoning

Honestly I don't think familiarity with older fighters would even help when it come with dealing with projectiles in NRS games, considering how you deal with projectiles in MK is vastly different with how you deal with projectiles in say, Street Fighter
l.et's be honest....Battle Fantasia did the Granblue Fantasy Versus before AND better than Granblue Fantasy Versus
I was today years old when I found out ProZD was a THAT famous. Simply because he doesn't come off like he has that kinda income. He even uses paper for shit. (Reminds me of Andy Milonakis) No fancy video intros, gaming chair, not asking for subs, sponsoring anything...feels so down to Earth and early 2000'ish. So, weird.
I noticed streamers like to use Solo cups. Why is that? Is it because when near electronics, to potentially mitigate the possibility of spilling the drink on anything or in general they're the best choice? Since regardless of the force you grab them, they mend accordingly. I bought some just for that reason too. They also keep drinks fairly cold/refreshing when ice is used.
"Oh, yeah, and this Sprite? Seventy-Five percent ice, so, you ain't doing shit but drinking water...Stack your bread, my nigga. You wastin' your money, go to Wendy's."
Was waiting on line at the Family Dollar and saw an employee push a lady. I'm like wtf but she had a knife I was told. Good thing I wasn't next to her tryna come inside because she'd be tasting rubber to pavement in one course.
I may lose followers over this but it needs to be said. I find it VERY disrespectful when people don’t stand for the national anthem. As soon as you hear “(I ain't got no motherfucking friends)That's why I fucked yo' bitch you fat motherfucker..." you need to be OUT of your seat!
Had 0 idea that the Frame Data in TK worked diff on hit,+10/above doesn't grant guarantees. Depends on animations. That feels so weird to me as a VF player. It just breaks down to, I'm plus and I'm not. This is useful more for on block plus frames but you get punishment training for free. It doesn't fulfill the same purpose to me.Chloe FC2 is +15 but you don't get a 15 launcher or 12F *4 to hit even though it reaches

ngl, even with frame data in T7, I don't use it. On block I just stick to jab punishes, launch punishes, WR punishes, and anything that doesn't fit those gets labbed

Same here. In VF it's needed more, as there's legit stuff that hit regardless of frames but at the same time, there's -15 crouch blocked moves that look like they're -17 aka launch punishable from crouch. There's different frame data basd on sidestep, sideblock etc. that is more complex than Tekken's that I see people using more lol

Indeed. Tekken is i10 punish, i13 punish and i15 launch punishes.
I realized, Tekken has too much knowledge baits for people that have any lick of experience ahead. Other games like VF and DoA have an engaging battle system where you deal with something once and boom, you know it already. In Tekken you can be wrong for tapping the wrong direction for a quick sec, forget mashing. You get hit for shit you SEE. Forget unseeables.Recovery for punishing is too fast.

That actually applies to all fighting games tbh

It's a little more intricate than that for Tekken. There's particular ways it treats a little fuzzy guard as you being committed even if you IMMEDIATELY go back up. Same with crouch blocks, there's jailing strings that can end high but you still get hit for CROUCHING. You have to always fully commit even if you see it a frame later. SC (Specifically 5/6),VF, you can fuzzy.
Tekken 7 S4 has weird ass slow-downs now which I'm assuming are synchronizations. Netcode is "better" because it lags up a storm to get it out its system. Like quite literally vomiting its lag away. SMH Entire rounds are on the moon.
If they ever remake; The Ten Commandments, Paul St. Peter has to portray God. For sure. Everything that man says is automatically legendary and invokes emotion. I literally cried listening to him doing the SC quotes
