  • Anyone forget that DoA6 exists sometimes? Not as in not playing it but rather we could have easily been playing LR still and not have seen the game announced in June '18. Felt hype then, felt magical. Same with SFV's expectations. 10 yrs ago I'd have flipped about an SFV. These games don't feel very evolutionary.
Yo, Overcooked is harder than Darksouls. Don't@ me

I've never played Dark Souls but I'll agree on Overcooked being hard. Maybe because it's meant to be played by more than one person. Damn fun though!

Not putting online co-op was a mistake. Something being harder than DarkSouls is a meme. Not really pertaining to one's skill in DS. You don't have to play DS to get it.

Considering I have an insane amount of hours in all Dark Souls games every game is harder than Dark Souls for me.
Anyone choose to not punish a move they know is punishable but because it's online, you're ok with that decision?

There are times where I seen people go "oh my god..it's -12 how the nuts they getting away with that" on streams.

-Sees the move they get hit by-
    -Sees recovery as 18-

Ah, now I see why people don't like punishing this move, especially in netplay. Makes sense.

Pretty much, move recovery plays an immense role and can dictate the match often without people realizing, imagine net battles.

    - Move recovery when attacks and strings get free cancelled into another attack or set of strings
    - Move recovery on punishing certain moves that people get away with
    - Move recovery on whiff for whiff punishment. (Easy to whiff punish a move with alright-massive recovery than a fast one)

On the otherhand, I can see VF players being a lot more helpful on average than Tekken players whom think that you should figure out shit on your own.

If you're talking about Libertine, STL_Tim, Kam, those guys appear elitist online and regular argue with the humble vets. It's mostly an act, as I've played offline with most of the site. Yes, they are more helpful overall. Not just because they want new players, but overall the game presents itself classy. It's the deep dwelling ones that are probably dicks. Tekken players are like that because the game doesn't teac

-h them. So, they assume asking for help is weakness. The game is what gives the mindset. I wouldn't be surprised if VF6 has more elitists simply out of spite for people not giving the game a chance as I've noticed that here in FSD a bit. They don't(didn't) care for us then, why should we them? I've even felt like that at times. Kinda-sorta gatekeeping, because DoA is misunderstood.
Don't feel too bad about DoA6 taking long to add lobbies now. R* just took 5 months to add poker online. A thing that should have been there from the start. I guess they didn't want people to have it easy because causals probably suck at poker. Dammit, I want to be there but I sold RDR2 for slacking with the online.
Just played though, What Remains Of Edith Finch. That was kinda depressing... What kinda made up for it was that last part. It was all dark and I was trying to figure out what to do, so, I held up on the analog, turns out I was crawling out of pussy.
Seems everyone does well for themselves except for me. I'm always broke. I need more drive. I've been stressed these past 6 months. All I really have are, "In case of emergency-break" options on the table. I'm not in a particular emergency, just guarantees that would need me to move from NY.

My last job was sweeping gutters, parts of the sidewalk and changing bags of garbage in the corners on mile long avenues.

You deliver you to company mailrooms we lost most of the apartments. There's like 3 buildings left. You would start at 3a.m. and leave as soon as you finish, not keeping you past 10 most likely

    Lol 3 a.m.? Nice. Mom's gonna freak.
I like how I can be away from SFV
for 8 months. Come back, say, ok, "Time to see if I like this game again." Played one set, won, ok. Now it's taking forever to find a game and took me out my zone. Ugh...I forget fighting games were thing with all the publicity SFV gets. SMH Probably MK11 and I'm exaggerating. I just don't want to fight the same loop of people.

TN making Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 makes sense if you think about their copyright patent on beat em up games in a 3D space with a lot characters occupying the screen. Yes, that is real. They had no choice but to either get TN or work around it with less enemies.
What's your favorite short loop character select theme? MvC2 for me but I also like KoF '94

Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, Rage of the Dragons, KOF 96 OST ver. , Street Fighter Alpha 1/2, and the Tekken 2 arcade ver. are all BOPS!!! So many good short character select themes out there lol

CvS1 Millennium 2000 - "To the Limit" theme (first one, not the bounce one). It wasn't originally used as a character select screen theme until you set it up for it, but has a lot of edge behind it.

Lol, Chris Tatarian is a shithead. Obviously, everyone but the top, top players are free as fuck in any fighting game. People are entitled to their opinions.

@Onryoki Lol remember when were on then topic of Dutch people? I do know that they tend to speak their @Pictured Mind and it's funny how that has rubbed off on New York. A Dutch colony. Except when we're just a straight up assholes. The English tend to be less sociable with strangers, at least what I read people say. New Yorkers be like, "For your own health, don't talk shit on the Yankees"

That Satan comment to Noob by Erron makes me wonder how or why, and if so, established religions weren't given up on within MK's universe for various reasons that I don't need to explain.

Oh, shit, really? So, I guess in some form, things were just different than perceived at first but were actually true. Like it'd be interesting if everyone was right and the deitys are real, and God is the God of Gods as the Bible says. Would be great, and shows that maybe we should embrace the good message of religion instead of how the message was delivered.
