The following will be resolved in the next patch:
• When landing a Throw or Offensive Hold on a Side Attack or its recovery, counter status occurs.
• Counter status also occurs when a player lands an Offensive Hold against a Side Attack strike.

Guess it was added to an internal test build, and they forgot to remove it? So... potentially toying with the idea, but didn't like the outcome?

Opting to remove the change after the fact, suggests to me that it was either a mistake - leaving the change in the main code branch - or that something came up in testing while 1.04a was out for console cert. Either possibility says that they're scrambling to salvage the mess, so yeah.

I'm still not gonna rag on them too much for it. Niche publisher, niche genre. At least they *are* trying to polish.

@ninemil Sure but do we know the intent? I like to think back to the Kayane/Okubo interview and fear devs are as ignorant as him when it comes to the competitive nature of the game. He literally said he'd changed things according to people whining. That patch to add a bigger throw tech window had me confused since it was already lenient. I fear SSA is being reverted due to these thoughts. Shimbori plays DoA
