I would have respected DOA2 or 3, but 4 only proves they don't know what they are talking about.

Hmm... DOA4 I would say is the massive receipient of being in the right place at the right time. The Fighting Game genre was in a bit of a slump back then and a casual scrub friendly FG like DOA4 with impressive online offering would make a splash. Both DOA5 and to a lesser extent DOA6 released at bad times in comparison. Still cool to see DOA here although GI is an abomination now.

To put it in perspective, DOA4 is the best casual DOA in terms of overall content and presentation. No surprise that Game Informer would like it.
