Dayum! That's some good shade. I have to agree as Phase 4 isn't even mentioned in DOA6 and is just "there". She just doesn't exist.

Phase 4's whole existence is a way for TN to get away with charging twice for Kasumi DLC with Black/Dark versions of fetish crap. Nothing more nothing less.

He is hack, but he is 100% right. Phase 4 is dumb. Phase 4, Honoka, and Marie Rose are such dumb characters they added just to make money off losers.

Phase-4 could've had some interesting story relevance in 5 and 6 (mainly 5) and is probably the most interesting out of the Kasumi clones in my opinion. Ofc, they added her in 6 in order to get more money off of people who like Kasumi or "emo" Kasumi, we all know that. Itagaki is right however. Whether he said this on a serious or more of a mocking tone he wasn't the one who created P4.

Man, if he would've continued making DOA's story, then we wouldn't have Honkers or Marie Rose in the DOA universe either. P4 is/was a good addition but I'd happily see her go away if it'd make Marie Rose and Honoka go away too.

I can already imagine the paradise DOA6 would’ve been without Honoka, Marie, NiCO, Diego and Phase 4. I already know that itagaki would’ve created way more interesting characters.

But would it be worth it as he could fuck the gameplay more.

Backseat critics are incredibly tiresome, particularly since P4 and Kasumi's story in 5 were absolute franchise highlights.

If this hasbeen can do so much better under current restraints and budgets, why isn't he developing a competing game series?

@ninemil Because he has his head up his own ass and doesn't know what it takes to make an actual good fighting game with a gameplay aspect. He is also a massive dick so kind of fucked himself out of a new job.
