Ya I'm so confused by that. You can buy them individually in JP. I wonder if Sony HQ in the US was the ones pushing back because they didn't want this massive catalog in their store again?

Hopefully it doesn't mean even more pricey purchases, we'll probably be better off just buying season passes and full packs with how it'll probably wind up costing us in the long run xD
