Who said arena brawlers NEED to be balanced though? I luv me some estival/shinovi versus multiplayer and those modes are broken af, but ppl still enjoy and play 'em years after the fact, lord knows I do, and I don't play the broken stuff (Renka main 4 lyfe)
Even stuff like kill la kill if, the ninja storm games, and even that my hero academia brawler, fun as hell but balanced like an elephant on a piece of bamboo
Ahem, again, like Square made anything amazing these past 10 years. FFVII will potentially be their most successful game in quite a while, which is a remake of their biggest game ever, if they'd screw it up somehow, then I think that they're unable to make very good games anymore. Also, yes, Arena Fighters are unbalanced. KLK:IF is probably the most balanced one out there, and yet it has plenty ToD's.
@deathofaninja I was watching the JPN HEAT esports tournament for Dissidia. They were asked about the future of Dissidia and any questions they were asked about the game when it came to the fans via TrueBlade translating it.
Square mentioned that fans asked about characters they wanted to see return, etc. s well as the future of Dissidia series when it comes to content to where Square was saying that they heard the fans feedback regarding the game's balance so they are adjusting it each time apparently until they seek another company.
Seeking another company to redo the wheel (could be a 2D fighter, some pinball game, who knows). It's just that Square seems to forget that Arena Brawlers just have tough balance.
Square's first mistake is an Arena Brawler. The only games that pulled it off is probably Gundam Vs ( < #1 most played arcade game in JPN with over 100+ teams) and Power Stone. As well as KLK I guess, but I can't question that one.
@deathofaninja They would like to seek another company for the future of Dissidia. TrueBlade mentioned that they didn't wanted to intentionally say that a year ago via NicoNico (it's basically sneak flame).
