@KasumiLover @KnacKrover One of the NA Nintendo representatives (Ludger) stated that Mai's reason was solely because she's been in too many games in reveals/cameos.

I also don't believe it either as it shouldn't matter, but Mai out of all of them has the most cameos and inclusions since she's not even a true main character.

But if Mai was included, she'd be in the background in the way that wouldn't exactly see her initially. Nintendo would probably put her in a pose that doesn't scream sexual tension so outfit wouldn't be an excuse. If she was censored, Nintendo would of gotten flack.

@KasumiLover But after watching the video, it's Sakurai's trolling when he mentioned "Smash is for good little boys and good little girls" declining Mai's cameo entry. Otherwise Bayonetta wouldn't even exist on the roster lol.

Yeah I didn't take that answer seriously since Bayonetta and Zero Samus and even Princess peach are as objectified and fawned over as a Mai Shiranui xD

Yeah I somewhat believe Ludger more because it is true that Mai has been in way too many inclusions including mobile games, course I also don't think it should matter since it's a cameo instead of a playable character.

I wouldn't say it's Nintendo, it's Sakurai. He's been known to be a troll and this is one of them.

Mai became SNK's "Chun Li" or poster girl, basically the female equivilent of Terry as far as their fighting games go. If other chars got represented somehow in Smash but she didnt, its not right. Could have just toned her down if thats a prob.

I don't know if they could have without backlash, nowadays people will get mad and whine if a girl's bust is even a millimeter reduced in size xD I think they're trying to use Terry as the poster guy so that way it can make some better waves for collabs and such than it would be using Mai, I think Mai is better in DOA or even Senran Kagura

I mean, there isn't really anything to tone down from Mai. Realistically, all Nintendo has to do is put her in a pose where she isn't trying to create pheromones to attract it's audience in sexual poses for sexual arousal. Mai does have simple poses from past games where she uses her fan blowing her face, it's simply Sakurai's trolling and budget costs.

Yeah, Bayonetta's and even ZSS's existences alone pretty much nulify any "but Nintendo is too kiddy" arguments, imo. Didnt think I had enough characters left in my last comment to be more clear about "toning down", but I mean cleavage isnt something that exists in Smash, so if that was really a problem, she has already been officially drawn before without showing too much... KOFs are T rated like Smash btw.
