Honestly, I bet you Sakurai could of added Mai, although they'd have to either cover her up or put her in something less revealing. Bayonetta is in the game, slightly censored but she still retains her personality and charm. But doesn't matter, not like Mai is playable anyway.

but has Mai ever had an in game alternate costume that was less revealing? seems like every appearance she only has the one, and had they pulled some SFV style censorship where she had a black catsuit underneath her revealing costume i think ppl would of freaked out even more, but it's like you said, she aint playable so cares
