That statement is true for the Western Branches (for most of the games) that usually make games for kids, and not include elements that are more for teens & being controversial. If I even care about what Nintendo Direct has to offer (which I browse through for your post sake), there is going to be some all-age games, but there are also games made for Teens (13-17).
Majority of the games at best don't interest Me (Animal Crossing, 2K games, Ring Fit Adventure), and the ones I'm interest gets edited/censored (Catherine Fullbody, SSBU, & Bravely Default) which Nintendo aren't the only ones who have a history of doing that. The one I may be interest in Xenoblade Chronicles.
Besides I don't need Nintendo Direct to decide on Me getting the Switch (since its My main console for the next gen), the games I find are mainly from OAG, Sankaku Complex, & Niche Gamer. Like this game for the Royal Taste:
