I don't think everyone who would rather see it back in his hands thinks it'll be automatically perfect, but they would think it's more likely that it would be at least something that's better than what we've been getting. He's far from perfect, but I think it pays to have a person leading who cares for his creation and has a personal vision for what he's creating rather than just someone pandering to other groups.

Anyways, it's not like it's something that can even happen now. I don't know why people bother to even consider it as a possibility. I don't think there's any precident in all of gaming history for something like that to happen.

Yes exactly. People don't realize that having Itagaki back means jack squat if he still has to listen to the higher ups. It's why he wanted to "do his own" thing. Direction of the game would only be an alternate if he was on board, but it would lead to the same conclusion as current DOA either way.

yeah, people just don't understand that subtle hint why the DOA5 character more realistic, why no old stages , why they change the canon in dimension.

Agreed but it does make you wonder where he’d take the game. 1-4 had a cool touch to them that went missing when he left. Looking at it objectively, without Itagaki we got DOA5, which despite doing a lot of dumb stuff with its DLC, was the most fulfilling DOA game. If the current team didn’t half ass DOA6 and improved on what they had most wouldn’t be saying this.
