I get that her regular hold can potentially lead to more dmg if they don't break the ground throw, but the fact the her advanced hold leads to an unbreakable ground throw with guaranteed damage makes it way more valuable in my eyes

It honestly depends on how comfortable you are with the 2T followups after her normal mid punch hold along with your opponent's ability to break the throw. If you are able to get the perfect timing on the followups so that they cannot be broken, or at least very close to the timing, then you might as well stick to the normal hold because as you said it leads to more damage.
