Plus the power creep made this the worst season ever. Kinda a mini rant but it's why I'm not the biggest fan of "buff everyone" while the game's system doesn't really give you the best solution to counter-act it. Turns into a guessing game more-so.
Speedkicks' videos on competitive Tekken 5 are very enjoyable since it highlights parts of the game that have been important to the series for a long time now and it is one of the many ways you can differentiate the skilled players from the not-so skilled players and seeing almost all of that gone for all the damage and the 50/50's they implemented or tried to implement is slightly disappointing.
and then we have the last 2 dlc characters: Leroy: hilariously broken, man is still a top-tier character after 2 HARD nerfs and the dev/balancing team were deaf about all the complaints that their top players had about the character, which ultimately led to EVO Japan. Fahkumram is considered by a few to be the best character but even if he isn't he's def top 10 material, again and the broken hitboxes
Also, about Tekken 8, MainMan did a video where he showed evidence that pretty much confirms a fourth season pass for T7. There were 5 items listed on Steam for this game, most probably dlc stages and characters if anyone needs to take a rough guess, either 3 characters and 2 new stages or 4 characters and one new stage.
At this point, I don't want anymore characters. 49 characters and tbh to me some are pointless to use, unless you're a loyalist, cause there's a much stronger version of the same archetype (Fahkumran vs Josie for example), with less execution to worry about.
This system makes it hard to distinguish players as even if I tried to backdash for example Leroy, he has two crazy solutions to both backdash & SS, which kinda in a way makes it no different than if I didn't know how to backdash or SS. Season 4 has to get rid of some of this power play or adjust the system more so there's better solutions to the situations at hand.
