- Avidemux (free) for the most basic and quick operations (the only program that can CUT videos with no quality loss instantly without re-encoding the whole thing). What I used for all my gfycat videos, and what I use the most currently
- ShotCut if you want "actual" video editing software that is free and easy to install, a bit clunky to use, but the rendering/export features (aka the last thing you do when your project is done, you shit out the actual video) are perfect because open source
- Vegas for byg dyck editing that is easy to learn. What I used for all YouTube videos. Super expensive, but exporting is shit because closed source
pick your poison. I guess others would recommend Premiere in place of Vegas. Just make sure you pick 60 FPS from the rendering format options of whatever program you're gonna use ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
if you're willing to drop 250$ for a year of service, Adboe Premiere or Vegas are solid options, or Final cut pro if you're an apple user, Premiere's the most beginner friendly between all of them
of course if dropping that kinda bank is a no go you could always board Blackbeard's ship if you know what I mean, arrr
@Camel with 2 thumbs: They're definitely a no-go for now. Maybe in 6 months time I'll get one of the two, but decent freeware is sufficient enough for me currently.
ah, I see, well if it's freeware you want, the only notable ones that come to mind are Openshot and Shotcut, not sure how they are on the quality tip, but hey, they're free
