I agree, it's not really needed, although break holds ruin it imo since you always have to watch for that, plus now it'd defeat the purpose of learning more damaging combos when you know your opponent will just SE it and you'll have to wind up going for gimped set ups. Plus I don't think every high level player necessarily want it back tho

I can see where he’s coming from. I prefer stagger escape since it allows more stun play. Which is why I like DOA5 more, you could be very creative with the setups because of it.

It wasn't exactly a game changer because the gameplay aspects of DOA is that you still have to rely on yomi, as long as this exist, SE didn't matter. With or without SE: The moment you are in stun, SE still wouldn't reduce a heavy crunch stun since you'd still get launch from 4 other options. A lot of people have died relying on SE (a lot), and a lot of people have died for not using it. It's both ways.

Simply because it didn't really change anything. Which I came to a full understanding is that SE wasn't the main issue. Technically, all the game did is that it SEs for you now since you are now in "Fast" state after every stun.
