Not really imo, you can practice against moved and characters in training mode, there's even frame data and punish training xD

There's too many situations you can't just lab in training mode. Punish training's mediocre. Frame data's dlc money. And good luck if you don't got dlc characters...

The situations you can record tho iirc?

Yeah until you don't run into those situations for like 30-40 games and then out of nowhere someone uses a specific character and you die again. And simulating in training modes different from in game simulation. In game situations are always better to train in, which would be greatly beneficial if there was online dojo or even solid CPU AI but there is neither.

You barely run into high level situations on top of it all so playing nothing but random lidia's that only do risky af launchers and strings teaches you nothing about what makes her good and optimal. T7 training's terrible and tedious af. Can't even properly lab what to do against Lee's df1 situations and benefit from it with this game...

you use the record feature it is possible and has been done before, and you have in game frame data from ppl who have been begging since day 1 for it. Keep in mind that no one is going to put you in the same situation as you want it. In this day in age it's not 2008 you can find mu information all over the internet. You also shouldn't be looking for optimal stuff for a new character because that takes time.

People will later find better optimal stuff later down the line, i doubt people have all the answers.

Neither of y'all are getting my point. The problem isn't that you can't just go and record moves. The problem is that it's ineffective in the long run in regards to improving and trying to play against high level consistently. Especially in a game w/ armor moves, RA's, RD's, inconsistent hitboxes. It's tedious to lab through. You need actual simulation and actual interaction in order to understand...

what's going on, why things are optimal, and what are good optimal option select that doesn't get you killed in a game where outside a select few, everyone just explodes on one another. Going to training mode and labbing specific situations you see once in a blue moon don't help, playing online doesn't help as whether it's Lidia or 2337 win King, you're not going to have interactive matches that simulate...

what's needed to actually improve and better understand a character or MU cause all the majority care about is exploding with combos w/ no repercussions, and the CPU's so bad you can just spam repukkens to TGO in treasure battle. Then after all that and all the same basic labbing and basic whatever, you play in tourney, go 0-2 to a pro and rinse repeat. It's a HORRID model to improve in ANY FG.

Why are we playing cpus to get better, you use cpus on hard to practice hit confirming? And you go 0-2 to good players who been playing longer, you are going to lose but it's really what you learn to improve after said lost. The game is a grind to get what you want no matter the game. But T7's training mode good enough to get things done. Just take a break from T7 that would be better come back to it later.
