even if you get CH with wake up attacks at worst you're -9 and losing 20 health, if that's the biggest risk you face pressuring a knockdown opponent then sheeeit, in the words of Drake "Im going In!", unless you're 1 hit away from death, maybe then back off lol

Never underestimate WUKs regardless.

Wake up kicks for the most part are generally invincible and are free stun openers on mid CH should anyone opt to be on the offensive, especially terrain or low kicks landing on slip surfaces. It's still rather powerful in DOA for many different reasons. You can back away for the most part, but this rule mostly only applied if you have a strong health lead to mitigate all that.

Sometimes all it takes is one WUK because the one with the lower life was desperate to go in, but there are times where you have to go in desperately because the clock is ticking.
