A first glance it would be easy to write off this lawsuit as frivolous, though it brings up an interesting point. Sony's basically trying to cut out the middleman with regards to selling digital games. It would be pretty easy to say: "Just buy a physical copy", though physical stores can run out of stock, and not everyone can easily access brick & mortar stores also (especially with pandemic restrictions).
