Joke aside, I do feel bad for the Dante fans since my boy Travis got the same treatment. At least Shante got a music track to go along with her costume.

yeah it's weird Shante got a musical track despite being a mii fighter, but 1/2 Genie Hero music is sick so I ain't fussing

as for Lloyd and Dante fans, this is a bittersweet compromise, though I feel more bad for Lloyd fans since they been clamoring for their character since Brawl, whereas the clamoring for Dante is like 1-2 years old so I can't say i'm 2 upset

it's like Sakurai himself is saying "I'm putting these memes to rest!", which only make me curious as to who the last character and mii fighters will be

I have wanted Travis since Brawl and he was my most wanted character so i know the feeling but it is what it is I suppose. It’s still shocking cause Devil May cry is such a popular series worldwide that you would think would be in as a character. Personally I would swap out Ken for Dante.

This is by far the most disrespectful Smash presentation yet. They were better off just presenting Kazuya and leaving it at that. But no, they had to be extra and add salt to the wound.

The DMC and Shantae fans did nothing wrong.

Fun bit actually. Dante has been in request for 6+ years. Part of this request was also the lack of DMC at the time, as DMC fans were dried out in Sahara desert looking for more Dante goodness and they needed something. In 2019 Capcom granted that wish with DMC5. Social media back then wasn't that crazy until now where it's more obvious for Dante.
