Alot of times when i play 6 button fighters I can't help but feel like their could of been some consolidation when it comes to button real estate for a much more intuitive experience, but this setup is largely a hold over from the arcade era so it's a style that's not going anywhere, for better or for worse

Might depend on the genre and game format.

If it's a 6 button fighting game with a simplistic approach and simplistic conclusion, I don't mind 6 button ones (there is a lot though yeah).
