I agree with what he said. I'm indifferent tho about the fanservice part/Xtreme series hate since from personal observation, the same people complaining about the fan service the girls have and the xtreme beach game thread here be having Twitter accounts only following and RTing hot guys naked, etc., so I don't take those types of complaints seriously anymore. xD

I feel like the fanservice complaint nowadays is just a crutch since other games do the same but it's the hip thing to hate doa for it. Even for the xtreme series thread, I noted a good chunk of people here who hate the game wouldn't have an issue if it was the guys in that situation where they're objectified like the girls but since they're not, they complain

DOA2 and 3 were more on the serious side of things. TN tried to focus on the serious aspect with 6 but failed. To me, part of DOA's charm is the fan service but what makes DOA shine is the unique triangle system. Unfortunately, people don't follow the "Don't judge a book by its cover" phrase and will dismiss DOA as a porno game without trying to learn the game mechanics.

Money talks, sex sells, KT is obviously gonna put their effort into where the franchise is selling, which is DOAX, and I don't blame them.

I believe the current bad rap the series gets (bad DLC practices notwithstanding) is due to the fact TN doesn't embrace the series sex appeal from the start with their fighting games as opposed to the Itagaki era, and in turn, makes KT look disingenuous.

No I don't remember a time when picking a girl made you gay. Maybe among 8 year olds.
