I used to get into arguments on Twitter a lot lol, usually with former classmates who maybe thought they knew me better than they really did. I realized that there wasn't much point to it - people don't change their minds easily and I wasn't getting much enjoyment out of arguing. Sometimes you have to "curate" your circle of acquaintances for a better social media experience, and some bridges are better left to burn.

I can only use twitter if I somehow never see what's trending (curiosity killed the cat, and my curiosity beats any cat's). Once I see that, I want to abort asap. The only reason I ever go there is if someone links to something good on it.

I only use it to see what my friends and followers are doing and to share game and mod related stuff xD it's always funny tho to see what silly stuff people are debating about and arguing about a certain day tho

I don't have anyone I know personally or irl on twitter, so no issue with that. The arguments always involve the more extreme/ridiculous people on either side of an argument just crapping on each other and not getting anywhere, and I realize just by watching them I'm feeding the social media machine. Arguments are literally twitter's bread & butter.
