Free Step Dodge

Both being gacha games is the problem. Or the fact that this genre is way too profitable and that modern gamers support such practices. Or how gacha killed DoA... these companies should get 150 free lawsuits and 1 year in prison as a free reward

Which is what I would say if other gacha games wouldn't give WAY more compared to Genshin. Bleach: Brave Souls for its seventh anniversary gave: a crapton of free character and accessory 10x summons (accessories for those who have slightly played Genshin are like Artifacts but you don't have to pray for good rng regarding the main stat + 1 of that item is enough), 2 6 star summons

with the 2nd 6 star summon including 2 of the best characters (which they had to do because of the outbreak due to the false advertising of the first 6 star summons but still). Hell, Genshin's brother/sister Honkai offers way more for its 6th anniversary on the CN/SEA server, one free S rank, 15 free pulls that you can use whenever and on whatever, one free 10x on the upcoming Ice S rank support gear banner.

and a 10x summon where the gear that you choose from will give you something that'll be new 100%. Genshin's playerbase is too big for Mhy/Hoyoverse to ever reconsider giving more to its playerbase. Despite all of the complaints about the game more and more people play the game on a daily basis and some of the newer banners end up outperforming all of the old ones.

instead of performing worse, since this game is like LoL now, there will be enough new players to replace the old ones. Most gacha games with a smaller playerbase start to offer more now since they can keep their older players this way and attract newer ones at the same time. Are gachas predatory still? I'd say yes but its not as bad as it used to be from what I've noticed, going completely F2P is possible now.

You think that's bad? Wait till you see Action Taimanin's anniversary event. Hoo boy lol. The Action Taimanin twitter page is in flames lol and rightfully so. Gremory games fucked up hard. Can't blame folks for being pissed.

@ChaolanLegacy all im saying is that for a game that can make a year of development cost within one month of revenue, these rewards seems a bit stingy, and I'm not even one of those ppl who got mad at the whole fiasco last year, but upon learning how much Genshin actually makes these rewards just seem mad cheap

but hey that's one way to keep your money up, by spending as little as possible

@samuraihachi I saw that ppl were pissed at Gremory games, though in all honestly I don't know why, I just started Taimanin so I don't really have the context or time invested to be mad at the supposedly lackluster anniversary rewards lol

So basically, the awards you get from the anniversary event are severely nerfed compared to last years and the biggest offense is that the new character - Annerose Vajra is locked behind a paywall. You cannot purchase her with gems like you could with previous characters, which is a clear scummy cash grab since Gremory knows Annerose was the most requested character to be in the game.

Basically when a character comes out, 2 weeks later you can buy them with gems. Personally, I bought her like I did with a few others that I liked (since I'm a fan of the series) and had some extra cash to spend. However, I agree its a scumbag move to make her package exclusive - especially since this during a anniversary event and she was the most requested character lol.
