its a sony first party AAA game, you should expect it to be the exacts same game but slightly worse somehow since thats what happens to every game they have now. Proof being Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West but still get 10/10s and glowing reviews regardless because its not yet another cheap live service cash grab like every other AAA game is these days.
That's why normies ruin gaming. Their bars are so low and I don't understand why they don't just watch a movie instead of playing these boring, over the shoulder, hold forward to progress walking sims or 8h cutscene "games" with no challenge and dumbed down combat, if there is combat. And don't forget the politricks
I m the last person who should be saying this but.....Before I point at everyone else, I have to look at myself first to see if I m part of the problem. What I see is the purchase history I made this far had been in contribution to the decline of how games nowadays are. Until then we need to figure out how we can get triple A devs to finally beg for that dollar to appease us.
Take the newly formed doa6 ++ mod that has been developed recently as an example. Is it really the consumers job to release a finished product that works and to their liking? Thats the friggin job of the triple A devs not the fans and its community. If KT followed what Capcom did with a cease and desist claim for the game improvements, then we know where we need to point our fingers to.
Most of the current state of the industry is because of pure cons00mer ignorance and stupidity. Just look how ppl defended Tekken's paid frame data. They played a videogame or a series as a kid and feel obliged to continue consuming and defending the poor billion dollar companies and their decisions. Ppl defend Blizzard, loot boxes, mtx, Activision, Ubisoft etc. The industry is irredeemable, just like humanity *cough
Keep in mind that AAA games are a massive risk in itself if it's not an established franchise. All it takes is one bad flop to potentially bankrupt a developer. It's not the Xbox/PS2/GC era or earlier anymore when "AAA" games were a lot cheaper to develop and could afford riskier premises.
With that said, I wouldn't mind if Sony could produce a few more games that aren't just 3rd person adventure/action games. They can feel a little too "one-and-done". I enjoyed the PS2 & PS3 eras. Gran Turismo 7 I think was the last one I played and wasn't really a fan of it.
You wanna know what's overrated? another damn Dark Souls clone lel.
I do in fact enjoy the Souls game, but i'd be lying if I said that there isn't too much of those these days. Souls is basically the Fortnite of Battle Royales and to see these companies trying to do the same thing just shows that they seem to just be seeking on what's the latest trends. I get the community is huge and it makes bank but woo boy.
