Nope, not in the slightest. After what happened with NG3/RE with mixed reception, it kinda doesn't really matter anymore if TN made it in-house or not.

Yaiba was made by some random studio that went bankrupt after. Platinum games is well known and different so this is a shot from another that actually is familiar with it. If that what it takes to make a great NG game then so be it, no complaints here.

No, because if they want to outsource for sure, then who? If I got mad about Platinum working on an NG, that means I'd only be ok with TN working on NG and no one else. Or else what, Soleil? Valhalla? Doubt it'd happen. Platinum might get it wrong, but I have to imagine every other dev out there would do an even worse job of it than them. I wouldn't panic and would wait to see how the game turns out before judging.

@DestructionBomb I'd agree with you about it not mattering after NG3 turned out the way it did, if it wasn't for how their next games like Nioh turned out. I think now their A-team could do a great job now that they've grown as a developer. TN in 2022 isn't the same team as in 2010. But they said they want to outsource, so not point dwelling on that...

Plus, they'd likely have someone like Yasuda overseeing the project, and he wouldn't just tell them "yeah, you guys can turn it into DMC/Bayonetta", lol.

As long as Platinum games make a better game and not what Team Ninja did with Mocktroid Other M, I wont be mad I ll be happy.

It's a controversial topic, but I think TN's work on Other M was the better side of how that game turned out... the biggest problems were because of the direction that Nintendo's Sakamoto decided to take with the story. It's not the best gameplay in the series but it was alright, a lot of people enjoyed that part of it.
