he's got offensive holds but i could consider doing what i did for raidou's parry reusing break hold and limiting it to only some kinds of strilkes but making one where he gets anything would be much much harder.

i do have sidestep 6T coming back, maybe that helps?

Slower DOA characters should have stronger defensive options to compensate

This is why Helena and Lisa are the only slow characters worth playing, despite their poor frame data they have defensive options that constantly have you 2nd guessing, meanwhile, Bass, Nyo, Raidou, are just at the mercy of high priority moves
