If it makes you feel any better, a lot of people did not know that there are "While Landing" attacks for the vault over interactables. Including throws.
@Derock I think that floorbreak only exists in the Japanese versions of DOA2 (LE, Hard*core, Millemnium, etc); I'm 98% sure it's not in vanilla DOA2 or DOA2U, so I can see how some players can miss out on it
I do remember the mechanic being up for a topic too of whether or not it should return. It's probably one where I guess people wouldn't miss it, but I always felt it was also a underrated one considering only two stages had it for DOA5 and it was somewhat present in the older DOA where you jump over hippos and stuff.
But what I found interesting was that the interactable opened up a can of other bits that you don't normally see in a regular match with certain moves having adjusted properties.
- Eliot's while landing K (which is 2H+K as standard), the follow up extra launch attack is guaranteed if the low lands and can't be held. But it can be held in a regular match.
- That Mila kick is + on block from the interactable but negative from standard.
- Akira's air P from the interactable just straight up always misses (unless you hold) so it might of been overlooked. He retains the vanilla DOA5 busted 16T of his where the P is guaranteed. The low kick on hit throw does more damage too.
