Aren't most DOA announcements on any gaming conventions for example E3 (DOA: Dimensions & DOA6 was close to E3 but not announced at E3) or Tokyo Game Show (DOA5)? I know for a fact if DOA gets announcement, its never an FGC event.
VF Reveal? Short teaser trailer maybe. Akuma strong? Probably, character's almost always strong/broken in the game that he comes to. DOA Collection? While I'd very much like it, I don't think so, more likely after a new Ninja Gaiden game imo.
@Kasumi-Phase-X but there is no more E3 and Japanese developers show very little interest in Summer Games festival (for good reason). This has made announcements for fighting games more likely at FGC events. Saying that nothing will be announced at all is the obvious and easy answer when it comes to Dead or Alive, but you never really know; especially now.
@deathofaninja Yes we all know that E3 is no longer a thing, even if Japanese developers don't have an interest in TGS there are probably still other gaming conventions (similar to the 2 mention events) that DOA has high chance of announcing, unless game industry starting to decline where gaming conventions are no longer a thing. The only way to find out is trailers popping up in EVO Japan.
Not to mention DOA6 and I believe DOA5 did get announcements for content, not full games, but content. It's becoming more normalized for fighting content to be announced at fighting events which makes complete sense IMO.
