Oh man, how bloody good is DMC3? It's amazing how that game is still leaps & bounds ahead of most modern day action games released today. Devils Never Cry theme is truly epic & beautiful.

Nice find, I personally have my DMC HD Collection on my Xbox (as well as DMC1, DMC2 and Vanilla DMC3 on PS2) still need to finish Vergil, and it's nice to finally have Bloody Palace in DMC3. My favourite is still DMC1 memories of beating DMC1 on DMD in my childhood still lives in my mind. I just wish I could play DMC like that again haha I suck now :/

UpSideDownGRUNT, Like yourself i too have fond memories of the original DMC, the first fight with Phantom at the time blew my mind & it's those memories that make me put it slightly above DMC3. But both games are absolute gems. I won't lie, i had a blast with DMC2 as well despite the hate it received ;)

O: my only problem with DMC2 is because of how bland and boring everythiong is.. had it had some better work or even better yet been the DMC2 Kamiya wanted to do it would have been 100x better

Yeah the levels & enemies certainly were lacking in design weren't they & Dante himself hardly spoke a word. The big pro for me was being able to play as Trish after the game.

Trish and DMC1 Dante skin save that game but not by much...
DMC4 had the lazy/lackluster design problem too seemed to be a running theme with Hideaki Itsuno directing the series LOL
DMC3 is the only one off he's had so far

Yeah although DMC4 looked incredible it still couldn't hold a candle to DMC original & DMC3. Bosses like Griffon, Phantom, Nevan & Jester, nothing in DMC4 or DMC2 can touch these guys imo. We really do need another Hideaki developed DMC & soon. I'm not ready for this series to die out yet haha.

We'll have to see, with the flop that was DmC it could be curtains for DMC as a whole unless someone buys the IP from Capcom rumour has it the DMC IP has been up for sale since DMC4... personally I think Platinum Games could bring it back to it's hayday mainly cuz Kamiya is there haha the creator of DMC

I agree, Platinum good be the dev to bring it back to its roots & if they do one day end up bringing out another DMC it really needs to have more Lady in it. She is too good of a character to be forgotten about imo. One doesn't just ride motorbikes & shoots people in the face & is then forgotten

The day Platinum Games get the DMC IP is the day Capcom stops being moneygrubbing windbags. They still never bothered giving the rights to God Hand back to him, so it's only a pipe dream T-T Also plugged in my PS2 and played DMC3. It's as amazing as I remember. I'm stuck inside the Leviathan (Very Hard) and this stupid set of organs is harder to beat than I remember DX

Use either Agni & Rudra or Beowulf gauntlets. Jump in the air and use your standard aerial attack, then quickly press jump when you fall on the organ's collision (Jump canceling, if you're familiar with the mechanic in DMC). Rinse and repeat. That will keep you in the air away from the enemies without Swordmaster.

Remember that you can also hold the DT button down to waste several pegs and "burst" it on activation, dealing high damage for the center portion.

Jump Canceling with Beowulf is my specialty, so I'm pretty surprised I didn't think of that sooner XD Doing the burst with the DT is my best way of racking up style points (or dealing heavy damage on those giant worms I want to kill for orbs), so I try to use it often. Which isn't that simple since the right organ keep draining my gauge <_<

Easiest way to rack up style points is Vergil's Judgement Cut. xD But yeah, with Dante there are various ways. Personally I spam taunts because why not?

Since I'm trying to level up Royalguard and can't rely on Swordmaster to get easy style points, I usually switch weapons mid-combo to mix things up, taunt when the coast is clear, then run it back again until waves are all cleared. I'm slowly getting better with RG, so I'm starting to benefit from it even if I still screw up the timing a lot D:

I've never used weapon switching that much because I first played DMC3 on PC, and the port was so bad that there was no way to make the switch weapon button anything convenient where I could hit it mid-combat. Admittedly, I swap weapons much more when playing as Vergil. He kinda needs all three, unless you want to killer-bee spam with beowulf every encounter. xD

TBH, it may be cheap, but that's pretty much exactly how I beat Mission 20 in DMD. I didn't do it all stylish without being hit, though.
