Not so much the game everyone is always on, but the game a guy will gladly play with you if you ask him. I don't think it'll be a disaster. You already know my stance on SCV, I'll play it in a heartbeat. As far as balance goes at least I can actually win with Yunsung, unlike ZWEI.

It will be. Like I said, give it 2-3 weeks. Ghost town. And even if I'm wrong, I'm still not putting a single cent towards buying it. And SCIV was the best one as far as I'm concerned. No stupid supers with invincibility frames on wake up, step guarding was good and reasonable, pretty balanced characters out of the five games. It was meant to end at IV so that's probably why it was so amazing.

People consider IV to be one of if not the worst in the series. I dunno why, I had fun with it.

People are stupid. It was definitely the best. Sure, it didn't have a good netcode while SCV does, but it was a better game by far than SCV. SCV is an unfinished product and is terrible now because of the community and the developers screwing any chance of it being good. They were rushed by Harada because he wanted to appease the SC community.

They turned that beautiful game into SF with the stupid bullshit CE's with invincibility frames on wake up which makes characters who had amazing pressure, lose it for no reason. They took step guarding away. They made terrible patch decisions. Let the community decide with their respective characters how they are patched. Worst mistake ever.

Sigfreid and Ezio the whiffing kings didn't get their whiffing issues fixed. They got nerfed. Astaroth and Nightmare got buffed for God knows why. Voldo was nerfed for no good reason at all. JG'ing in that game is broken and OP. You can get out of techtraps if you wake up and insta JG which is unbelievable stupid. SCIV and JI's and GI's which was completely fair and balanced.

SCIV was not at all the worst game and anyone who tells you that doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about.

I personally like V more, I actually enjoyed the JG addition, CE and the new GI. The patch, I actually liked what they did with it, the chars I used got buffed and the backstep nerf really helps Patroklos. But I definitely still enjoy IV, and would play it more if the netcode wasn't so bad.

Only SC i liked is 1. Too bad they did a poor port of the arcade version for xbl. It should have been the DC version with online play.

You liked the patch because you got what you wanted. SCV was off to a good start then the developers fucked the game over royally and the community doesn't like it for the most part. The JG shouldn't allow you to avoid tech traps. That's stupid. The CE was fine but should not have invincibility frames on wakeup. The GI is whatever. Costs 25% meter and makes you very unsafe since the recovery animation is so slow.
SilverForte

I like the GI more in V because it gave you +30 and actually guaranteed something unlike past games, and the window was a lot bigger.

Yeah, but like I said, cost you 25% meter if you do it, you're basically open to almost anything, your opponent can re-GI (if he or she has meter). It's honestly a huge risk. You got to do a GI in SCIV that isn't super unsafe if you do it, didn't cost meter (obviously since there was no meter function in that game), and you still could get something guaranteed if your opponent didn't re-GI. GI was better in SCIV.

All this in depth talk. I wish I understood all of it, I never got off the ground in SCIV. The game was moderately enjoyable but the netcode was so bad I didn't even bother trying to get good. Then SCV came along and decided to sh** on every character I liked and used. It ended up being nonsense system wise was just icing on the cake.
Incognito

I wish SCV was better too. And I've played SCIV for nearly five years since it came out in 08. I love everything about that game. Oh and not to mention SCV has tons of random whiffing issues happening every other match. SCV is an inferior replacement to SCIV and that's a fact. It was a disappointment and Harada should be ashamed for making Daishi rush that game.

And here's more icing on the cake, Viola is broken. Banned in France. Has a back grab infinite and it of the highest tier in that game. It's not balanced SCIV wins.

I can't speak for SCIII, but as far as SCII goes aside from the "broken" system itself, the game seemed balanced pretty well to me. Taki was great but so was Xiangua, Nightmare, Necrid, Ivy, Mitsu, etc and the true tops ended up being tops in future games.

Virtually any character could win in SCII as long as you weren't playing Yunsung, Maxi, Link or (Presumably) Spawn.

Taki was above everyone. And the movement was so stupid all you had to do was get a hit, and turtle to death. Nobody will stay for that. 2-3 weeks. Everyone just wants the nostalgia. That's all.
Zeo

That's the first I've heard of Taki being the goddess. That title in particular is always given to Xiangua in SCII (...And 3). As far as turtling goes.... no real answer for that. I want the nostalgia too but... well I'll see how it goes.

Well all I know is Cassandra will rise once again, never played II on more than a casual level, but we'll see how this goes.

Spawn was nigh unbeatable in "extra"/weapon mode with the Abomination. He could kill an opponent in 2 strikes.
