I have no idea what Ryu is supposed to do anymore.

What's wrong with Hayabusa? Weeeeeeeell, you know Brute that we are short on Lisa players so you know, you should join me and Gruff as the only Lisa players in existence! . But seriously, what's up with Ryu?

He has the worst string mix-ups in the game, is horribly unsafe, has a plethora of crushes that never work, and must rely on ongyoin gimmicks to intimidate the opponent. He's literally 100% Izunas now.

. You can still make it work... Doesn't he have expert holds into the Izuna? That's great right? Even though you just said he's 100% Izunas lol. But can't he like teleport out of nowhere and behind the opponent? Doesn't he have like 200 guard breaks? Lol he always guard breaks me.

Guard breaks? 4PK (his best GB) was removed in 5U and is now super unsafe. 3H+K got nerfed and is now superunsafe. 6KP/ongyoin8P are mega-slow. 1K(disadvantage)P only GBs on heavy charge. 66K leaves him in slow-ass ongyoin and got nerfed. KK is now unsafe. So no, not anymore. He has no pressure game at all.

Like I said, 100% Izunas. The expert holds got buffed, yes (so did the max life bar), but again, that relies fully on the "guess right" thing I mentioned earleir. He has no offensive pressure anymore at all. Even his FTs got nerfed.

Um, I promise you Ayane is played better aggressively...

i thought ryu was suppose to be good brute. i'm sad he sucks. It seems being a ninja wasn't good enough. Look on the bright side you got a really cool super awesome costume in 5U.

Spirit of the Fighter costume sucks. I want his classic throwback.

Ryu was solid in Vanilla. If he's not bottom tier in 5U, I have yet to find out why.

lol according to Rabies Ryu is top 5 in the game because of his damage. But it seems Ryu boils down to bait out holds for izuna or you're boned. And i'm sad you don't like you're new costume.
