If you punish her moves with throws and keep throwing mixups at her, she's done. There are like 3 main moves that you should always punish... I can't remember which (lol) but I wrote it down on my computer, I'll give it to you later. Without 6P+KP stunning on NH (which was BS) she's not as scary as before unless you let her get her combo throw all the time.
Her stuns last forever and she can throw out a low that's +on NH from pretty much any string. She has guard breaks, reset throws from strings, highs/lows that look exactly the same and can leap across the entire map in 14 frames. I don't know what 3 moves you're talking about, but she's got way more than 3 moves that make her scary as hell.
I find fighting Ko Ko easier now that I understand her moveset...sike! Ryu vs Kokoro is a very hard match up. Its like fighting Helena without the crazyness, but there both in your face. Which is a weakness unless you read wisely and catch her high hit on ninpo but here is my strategy when fighting that black haired demon.
Don't go for backflip ninpo, not fast enough for her fast moves. Don't counter alot, once a Kokoro see's your countering they will eiether go for that backwards throw with 3 chains or they will combo the shit out of you till you cry. Do not I repeat do not run away from a Kokoro. That will ruin your Health bar faster than I finish this sentence. If you have to move make sure you don't use ninpo. Block that bitch.
The best offense to fighting a Kokoro requires one thing. Patience. Watch her carefully, she's easier to counter if instead of trying to mass counter after every punch you watch a move that really gets you and figure it out which one it really is. For me Ko ko really like to use that Kick which launchers you up which is a midkick counter, or the midpunch launcher also.
Ko ko loves to chase her opponent after she pressures the shit out of you, and the best Koko's are really patient when fighting and will get you after each counter you miss. With Ryu the best attack is you have to get that master momentum starting. Once you get a combo in, pressure her instead. Koko's aren't that strong when your in THEIR face all the time.
Your best option against Kokoro is to punish or sidestep. Now when I say sidestep I mean sidestep during her strings, like say you see her go into her heichu, just sidestep that. Or when you see her do 3k or 1kk. And when she does pp2k and you are not stunned sidestep because after that she can hit another low or go mid or go into her heichu all of which are sidestep-able
@Godly: How can I be patient when she just rips down your guard with reset throws from strings, constant GBs and tons of low hit mix-ups that have tons of frame advantage on NH? I do feel you on the range thing, though. You cannot outspace her. Impossible. That's why if Im gonna fighter Kokoro, I wanna do it in the Home.
@Aka: Yeah, SSing really is the thing. But if she manages to hit me once, boom. I'm toast.
Well, she is like Helena a little bit (Or maybe not XD) she is not great when pressured. Just give her a dose of her own medicine, stay on her. She is probably best at mid range than far or up close. The only that annoys me about her is the lows after so many strings. So when ever you see her do 1kk or 3k, just sidestepp. No time for that guessing game
The only thing that makes me upset with her is her little grab thing in her strings. Example: her ppt, 2kt, 1pt etc etc. But after that she can only do her heichu moves, so just sidestep those if you can.
Lol she really gives you that much trouble? I never knew she was that bad. I have no issues with her. I don't know, its probably because I use a lot of characters and her being one of them.
