Not nearly as ridiculous as the american people. Most of the folks who believe in their parties only do so because their friends or family passed down those beliefs to them. They don't know who the hell they are voting for, and a lot of these morons will come to blows over their so called "Beliefs".
Precisely what Rikuto said. It's painfully apparent when on the internet especially, when everyone polarizes the parties and creates what would otherwise have been a nonexistent schism between themselves and everyone else. The government is an issues, of course, but its the people and their divisiveness that are ruining the country.
The government needs to fight itself, actually. This government shutdown is actually a really healthy thing. When the government parties actually agree with each other over something its usually a really bad sign, and that's when the common man starts getting screwed over.
The people themselves, however, need not always be at each others throats. There's no point to that.
I'm fine with political discourse in theory, but when the parties and elected officials are fighting one another, the people oft parrot what they see.
But even if there are pros to the shutdown, the economy and hundreds of thousands of people are certainly not likely to be appreciative. It wasn't the cause of disagreement, but rather political blackmail.
And I'm not on a team, Drake, but while I like to contend I'm a moderate, honesty compels me to admit that I agree with the left more often than I do the right.
