59 wins out of 102 fights. Simply pitiful. I was losing to people I used to steamroll in Vanilla and suddenly Ayane can crush all my characters mids. Akira's awkward, Ein's not really that big a threat, Momiji is a work in progress. I was honestly doing best when I was mashing with Hayate, and I DON'T mash with Hayate.
You think Hayate is the best out of those 4? I mean, sure he's better than Ein in.. basically every way and Momiji isn't the greatest at closing distance but, better than Akira? Akira got hit pretty hard with the nerf bat but if used properly he's still very dangerous. It's the first I've heard that someone's said Hayate's better than Akira.
Maybe it is adjusting but for Ayane in particular. In Vanilla she was a non issue for me but in 5U suddenly I'm losing to random Ayane's and she's a nightmare, I don't know what it is, but it's like she's got infinite priority and crushes everything now, even true mids.
Ayane's braindead auto-tech juggles are gone, which makes her a bit easier to deal with in my opinion. She's pretty close to her vanilla iteration, but obviously that means she's damn good. Has a few new tricks, to be sure, though.
And do I feel that Hayate is stronger than Akira? Oh yes. Yes I do.
Zeo, last night you wanted to press buttons, especially on wake up. Once I realized it, it was easy to fight against. Just be a little more defensive. Also, NeoMP beat me like 10 out of 12 games last night. I know I was pressing buttons, but couldn't stop myself.
Also Momiji is good in this game just people aren't approaching the character right. She has great mobility and a good safe gap closer in 66P. Her 1p has a little bit of range to it as well. 7P flip has close to no recovery; shes a beast in spacing situations.
Lets not forget about her stun to launch damage and safety as well. Her jab being neutral on block is nice. I don't know if I am ready to say Hayate is stronger than momiji but he is definitely more versatile. I can't speak on Akira. But Hayate without a doubt is WAY better than Ein.
