So this random was like "Jacky? Pfft.. theres no way your beating me" Then i was like " HEE HEE HEE " He sent me to a online dojo 5 seconds later to practice Jacky's Flash Sword Kick. LOLOLOL
Wish I still enjoyed playing Akira. Even with the nerfs (16F+P...) if they hadn't added a ridiculous amount of recovery to all his moves on block and whiff I would still play the crap out of him. He just feels like a brick now.
Those ridiculously recovery frames still annoy me. Honestly speaking...that hurted me more than 16F+P even though the grab was one of my favorites. I kinda want to tell TN to at least take those recovery issues away.
Just fixing that recovery problem would be enough for me to go back to him. Even without the 66P wall slam, 2P counterhit stun and 16F+P vortex I would still enjouy using him but I literally can't play him now. It's just a chore. I should tweet to TN myself...
Same thing happened to me one time. I chose Akira and this guy was like "Akira? Pfft, nobody uses Akira! This is gonna be easy!" To say the least, I shattered his expectations :U
I'm fine without the 66P wallslam and 16F+P, but he needs his old frames back. It's annoying dealing with all that unneeded recovery DX
I wish I could agree with that statement. When I win a match with Akira I find myself asking "Why is this so much harder than it should be?" or simply "Thank God it's over..."
To each their own. Personally a victory with Hayate is about as satisfying to me as punching a baby in the face, whereas a victory with Akira is like killing God with a spoon.
Winning with Ein = Chopping tree down w/ rusty axe: There's a large degree of difficulty involved in the feat but it's possible, and while you're proud once you've accomplished it, you wonder why you had to try so hard.
Winning with Jacky = Chopping tree down w/ sharp axe: It's not easy in the beginning, it takes a ton of work but the possibility of failure and success excites you and you're more than proud once you see it go down. You put in the work and it feels worth it from start to finish.
Winning with Akira = Chopping tree down w/ butter knife when you ordered a chainsaw: Pointlessly hard, tiresome and way more effort than it should be. Eventually it'll be done but when you're finished you find you're asking yourself why you needed to try so hard, and while we're at it, why you didn't use something else.
Winning with Hayate = Chopping tree down w/ lightsaber: It's easy, quick and effecient for the most part. You feel powerful when doing it and it can be very fun. But every now and again the ease of it feels a bit boring and sometimes it even feels a bit unsatisfying.
Winning with Ryu: Ripping the tree out of the ground by its roots with your bare hands. Pointlessly inefficient and badass. As the wind tickles the sweat on your brow, your resolve strengthens. The forest is full of trees, and your journey has just begun.
