You won't anyway. There has never been a maskless Ryu costume in any Ninja Gaiden game ever, and there probably never will be.

Not to mention I wouldn't expect a NG4 for a long time if at all. I get the feeling that after the poor response from NG3 if TN has decided to turn their focus toward Yaiba and continuing in that avenue.

No it didn't. It was his classic throwback outfit, but they added a mask onto it.

The maskless one was in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus.

Well, maybe then. I don't have a Vita so I can't confirm it 100%, but according to all of the screenshots I've found online, it should be masked in that version, as well.

The ingame version of the costume is different from what is displayed in the costume selection screen.

Believe me, its hard to forget that ugly face.

What did his face look like in that one? Because in DOA2-4/D he looked totally different, and actually wasn't ugly at all.

He was great in 2-4. Think of the new design, plus terrible shadows and horrible antialiasing.

Ryu looked dope in Sigma 1 Plus.

Yeah, they updated his face now to basically look the opposite of how he used to. Very weird design choice.

At least its not as bad as Zack or Hayate. Fuckin Rig looks like he's got a bit of a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome goin on.

I don't know why they put a masked Ryu in the selection screen for his throwback, maybe because you can put on his mask pressing a certain button during the choice?
