Both games can be cheap, but NG2 is a lot easier than RE if that's what you mean. There are more ways to circumvent the BS than spinning the JS in circles hammering the Y button.

NG2 has items, reliable AI behavior, fast de-limbs, conventional ninpo, essence, ranged weaponry that can tear through enemies, a reliable dodge move and a block that isn't ignored by every single attack.
