Can anyone tell me why he is considered to be broken? I mean, he's relatively easy to play and his attacks hurt a lot, but what is so special about him? His bounds?
He chains braindead sit-down stuns into huge damage all while crushing everything. His launches go into legit resets (a Gen Fu exclusive ability), he has an 11 frame mid, a mid parry, tons of delayable strings to keep people guessing, good mix-up potential, etc.
Well, I've never checked him in detail. I understand most things, but what do you mean with "legit reset"? And does mid parry mean that he can hold punches and kicks with the same hold?
However, thanks for explaining and sorry for my newbie-questions :|
Well like, Helena has the "blender" where you either have to tech roll up after being launched, or have her smack you up (more complicated, but that's it in a nutshell). Both giver her frame advantage. So essentially, she gets s pseudo-reset off of her launchers. Gen Fu, however, launches you, grabs you, gets frame advantage. Unavoidable, resets threshold, frame advantage. Legit, guaranteed reset.
And yes, that is what it means. He can hit 3H and if you try wither a mid punch or kick, we well deflect either for frame advantage (sorta like Kasumi's 3H, since you're familiar with that).
The old geezer and the VF import calls Sarah the best chars in the game, nothing changed to vanilla. Personally i think Fu is now far more dangerous as in 5 with his insane bound stun.
Idk genfu was godlike in vanilla I just didnt realize it. 3pp was safe and hold 3p relaunched high as hell giving me insane damage off my sit downs. Plus I was finding true fts with him. But hes got the reset now so im fine lol.
