Of course Shocka. I am salty that we have a community of players which most chooses to play online and think they're relevant. I'm salty that I am better than majority of the players who play this game. I am salty that these players do not possess even half of my knowledge. I am very salty .
That's the problem. You're SUPPOSED to be having fun. No one is having fun in lag. It doesn't matter if you're a competitive player or not. I don't enjoy losing to someone who decides to make the game more laggy than it already is. I don't enjoy playing a game where I can barely move, or strike let alone anything else. You should be "Having fun" is not a excuse when there is no reason to have fun online.
Lobbies are where the truly skilled players go and I have the most fun in those. BUT it's also kind of fun seeing how long I can keep up consecutive victories in Rank.
LOL! My bad. I meant FON. I keep getting you two mixed up because you look so much alike .
@Jyakotu there is nothing skilled about online at all. Doesn't matter if it's ranked or lobby. Nothing fun about it, either. I want to be able to PLAY the GAME which you can't do online. People are just playing a different game. One that don't make sense and isn't fun to play.
I mostly play online for fun unless I'm playing Hajin, Ael or Ten for example who never touch online tactics. But I will admit that no matter how good someone appears, you can never judge their skill fully based on online play, even in the best 5 bar connections. Offline play changes the dynamic of DOA significantly by having all frames and reaction times consistent.
Lol, its alright. I understand were you are coming from though. The lag makes characters more safe than they are suppose to be. I dont even bother to play in lag, i just stand there and act like im trying if the lag is too bad. I dont take the game seriously anymore. I play arcade a lot and do combos tha arent the easiest to do and I try to do them online and fail lol. like, why even bother?
Online is fun when you stop treating it like DOA5U. You should just treat it like online.
Everyone has input delay. Everyone misses counters. Everyone fails to duck throws. It's just a fun way to meet new players, see different playstyles, and laugh about stupid online BS
Being that the DOA scene in my state is nonexistent, online play is the only way I can actually play with other people. Most of the time, I'm stuck playing the COM in Versus.
This isn't really targeted at everyone who plays online. I know some people have no other choice. This is mostly targeted towards those who do have a choice and/or think they're good because they play online all day and get wins.
I don't take online "seriously" I want to have "fun" online. The problem is I DON'T. It doesn't matter who I play. It doesn't matter if someone doesn't use lag tactic their are always things that are going to be hard to punish regardless.

Especially if I'm trying to stop my self raging. Can't take it so serious, and it doesn't help me learn anything while I play if I rage over anything (online and offline and you know what happened last weekend bro). So, I'm just trying to stay positive while I continue to try minimizing mistakes as I play.
