People don't take their game seriously. All they care about is playing online & posting videos instead of making an effort to go to a tournament. I for one love the game offline competing & playing around people who do too. They get mad when you tell them this is the way of respect. But then they complain when there's not a lot of stream time.
I probably fall in that category; I need to start giving myself more credit. I already paid for my badge, but I'm gonna go ahead and enter the tournament as well. I won't know how well I'll do if I don't even bother to enter...
You will level up a lot faster at the skill level you're at now than you would online. Trust me. Like I'm not telling you to "go just because". You really would because you're always around a player who knows how to play the game
JDE, to be fair going to out-of-your-region Majors is expensive as shit, especially if you don't live in the US. My pet peeve are people that don't even go out to offline casuals or support local tournaments. That shit annoys me.
It depends on where you're going & you're located. California is currently out of pocket for me but all of the other ones are very much affordable. And yes, that annoys the shit out of me too as well as a high pot bonus because then that's what ppl will break their necks to go to one but being any other time, they wouldn't come out.
Yet, they would make up an excuse for all of the others like a local or one nearby. If you can't make it, that's understandable but at least make an effort is all I ask. Which I'm going to try to go to NCR this time. Hopefully I can make it because I love California.
True, but if you don't live in the US, it's expensive as hell to go to US majors and can really only afford to go to one or two tops. It's fairly understandable why some people don't go to Majors regularly. It's fucking expensive and is a big commitment.
But yeah, there are also people that would rather play online than bother to make the effort to play offline.
Yeah, and that is the one of the main reasons for me participating in the tournament: for experience. Also, to support DOA/FSD community because I believe the game doesn't get the attention it deserves. It's honestly a lot deeper than people think, and it is just as competitive as the other fighters.
FON, you're a Canadian player so you have a legitimate excuse lol. But you go to tournaments in Toronto so please don't take what I'm saying the wrong way. You support the offline scene. I'm just saying in general.
Lu, yeah we just have to keep trying that's all I know, but ppl's attitudes here as a whole needs to change. Right now it's terrible
