it would be SOOOOO much easier if we we're all in Japan. The idea of traveling from state-to-state sucks and that could be why the community can't grow.
That's not the real issue because every fgc has that feat, not just DOA. One of the problems is that majority stateside wants to be the best online warrior, when that doesn't matter anywhere. There are plenty of players playing this game often, most choose NOT to travel. That hurts the community as well as a lot of other things.
to me the FGC is like an NFL or MLB player coming down to some kids house where he occasionally tosses the ball for fun and telling him hes playing like absolute shit and he will never make it in the big leagues. no shit he wasn't trying to -_- they seem to have no respect for casual play and are always judging based on their level which not everyone is trying or will meet.
I'm not saying you were, Kyo, I'm just pointing out a common problem with DOA. I'm certain I know you're referring to because I see " a lot" of issues here and in the fgc in general.
The Fighting Game community will grow when people get off there asses and actually promote the game offline as opposed to chasing meaningless ranks online or arguing over pointless stupid shit. If you're unable to get to offline events (I'm not talking about Majors, I'm talking about ANY OFFLINE PLAY such as local casuals), you can still contribute tech.
I wasn't directing the "Explain" part to you russian, but I understanding what you mean even though the negativity or venting comes from both casual and competitive sides of gaming not just the FGC.
Yes people can still contribute tech, but who does that? Who actually practices in this game in terms of execution? If i had a capture card i'd post tons of tech, but unfortunately i don't.
Besides, no one cares for the characters i use and no one is gonna bother even trying it :/
Check the Ayane section and see how much I've shared since Vanilla lol. I'm also one of the very few players that has actually sat down many times with different players "in person" and help them with the game. Answering any questions they have, providing tips. New players and novices alike. I still do that even with vets like Nykko. I do this here, I've done it on PSN, and I do it on XBL.
